T-34-85

The final modification of the T-34 series. Developed in 1943, this tank was a T-34 tank refitted with a 85mm gun mounted on a new turret, which was originally designed for the KV-85.

One principle advantage was its redesigned body, which widened the cramped quarters of previous T-34 models. Its greatest achievement, however, was the new ballistic characteristics of its 85mm gun, which could penetrate the armor of the Tiger and Panther at a distance of 1000 meters.

Its 500 hp engine could reach speeds of 55 km/h.
