T26E1 Super Pershing
Description
This tank was created as a counter to the German Tiger II. Tank T26E1, better known as the Super Pershing, boasted new turret design topped with a T15E1 90mm gun.
The turret was specially designed to accommodate the massive gun. Additional counterweights were installed on the tower, in place of an ammunition store.
When moving over distance, this tank traveled with its tower and barrel pointed backwards.
