Engineering Works

Description

Science is the basis of infantry and vehicle modernization. The benefits are enjoyed by your entire army – both your present army, and the army of the future. Expanding your engineering works will provide access to new types of scientific advances.

By the beginning of World War II, as a result of the growing fascist sentiment in Germany, many of the most famous scientists of the time had immigrated to Europe and the United States. One of the first scientists to emigrate was Albert Einstein in 1933, and he would later assist many other theoretical physicists in their flight from fascism. The Danish scientist Bohr also immigrated to America, and in 1938 Enrico Fermi arrived from Italy. It was Fermi who built the first nuclear reactor, and on December 2, 1942 he initiated the first nuclear chain reaction.
